Monitor their security
Through JOUO, users gain insight into information about their website, especially about their service providers such as their web hosting providers. The information includes, among other things:
- security vulnerabilities found
- open ports
- IP addresses and service providers
- server locations
- mail server configuration
Check legal requirements
With JOUO you can find out whether your website fulfills the general legal requirements according to data protection laws.
Create TOMs
According to GDPR Article 32, companies are obliged to document their technical and organizational measures for the protection of personal data. In JOUO, users are guided through a form that allows them to easily document their measures. They are also told what they need to fill in. This feature is a great tool for something complicated that every company has to do.
Download infrastructure documentation
As soon as a user starts documenting the TOMs for a website, JOUO automatically generates infrastructure documentation that the user can download as a PDF. This contains all the data that JOUO has about the website infrastructure at this point in time. This includes all IP addresses with associated service providers, security vulnerabilities, open ports and more. The PDF can be used for internal documentation purposes or for external legal inquiries.
What is so special about JOUO?
JOUO explains everything a user needs to know
Whether general terms or individual matters - JOUO explains it. It provides users with general explanations in the form of short info texts. It also explains the vulnerabilities found and gives users specific recommendations for action for each vulnerability.
Users are also supported in the creation of TOMs with detailed and clear explanations. These can be found here on our website.
All data and files available at any time
JOUO not only stores the current data for a website, but also all past data that has been collected since the first audit. This allows users to view the history of their security vulnerabilities, but also to request previous data from JOUO in the event of legal matters (e.g. as evidence).
The generated PDFs (TOMs, infrastructure documentation or invoices) can also be called up in JOUO at any time - whether old or new.
All data secure in Germany
JOUO was developed in Germany through and through. But that's not all: JOUO stores all data exclusively on German servers, which are certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 27001:2017. The operation is carried out by employees of [j]karef GmbH exclusively in Germany.
This means that your data is subject to German data protection law, there is no access by foreign intelligence services and there is physical control over the server locations. The ISO 27001 certificate for the servers is also the highest international standard for information security.

What does JOUO cost for end users?
Free version
In the free version, users receive a preview of their security scan results. However, they cannot view any details or receive any recommendations.
- number of security vulnerabilities
- number of open ports
- number of external resources
- whether all mandatory pages are available
- whether a valid SSL certificate is available
- whether problems were found with the mail server configuration
Subscriptions
As soon as the first security audit has been carried out in JOUO, JOUO shows users how many IP addresses* they have. This is used to determine the price of the subscription.
If the user takes out a subscription with annual payment, he/she receives a discount of 15%.
All subscriptions can be canceled with a notice period of 30 days to the end of the contract.
* There are various reasons why there are usually several IP addresses behind a website. For example, if several providers are used for different services (web server, e-mail, databases, etc.). Sometimes the requests for a website are also distributed across different servers (and therefore several IP addresses) in order to reduce utilization and outages.

Additional Offer
TOMs can be booked as an extension to one of the above subscriptions for + € 50*. This allows customers to fill out and edit TOMs forms and generate PDFs without restriction. The extension also includes the infrastructure documentations.

The Shadow Mode
The costs for implementing shadow mode are very individual, as it depends on the number of IP addresses and the severity of the vulnerabilities. Here is a guide to the minimum costs:
Installation costs
The one-off costs for setting up the reverse proxy are at least €3,600.
Monthly costs
Once set up, monthly costs are incurred. The smallest package costs €150 per month for a maximum of 10 IP addresses. The monthly price is staggered for more IP addresses.
Exclusive commission
The prices quoted for this product are purely processing costs, which means that no additional commission can be paid on top of these prices. If you would like to earn money as a reseller on the sale of a shadow mode, you must add your margin to the prices quoted.

If the company has more than 900 IP addresses, an individual offer can be created for this.

Then here is all the important information for you
Your Distributor
As a reseller, you are always assigned to a distributor with whom you can negotiate commissions and conditions and with whom you ultimately sign the partner contract. You also arrange the billing with your distributor, he/she pays you the commission and is your general contact person.
Your distributor can either be JOUO directly or one of our contact persons:
Your Reference URL
Each reseller can set up a reference URL in JOUO that he/she can send to customers. When they register via this, your user accounts are linked to each other. You are then officially both a customer and a reseller in the system, which makes it easier for the reseller to manage their customers and for invoices to be issued to the reseller.

Prices and commissions
The amount of your commission depends on what you have negotiated with your distributor. If your distributor is JOUO, you will receive a 10% share of all net sales as standard.
Unless otherwise agreed, the commission is paid to you by your distributor on a quarterly basis.
According to the reseller license, every reseller is entitled to charge their own prices to their customers. As a reseller, you are obliged to comply with the minimum sales prices specified by JOUO. The minimum sales prices correspond to the prices that JOUO makes available to customers as subscriptions.
License conditions
You receive your partner contract from your distributor. The contracts are issued individually, but the reseller license, which applies to all resellers and distributors, is essential for JOUO.

Manage costumers
Register customers
Your customer must either register independently using the reference URL or, alternatively, you can soon create their profile yourself with an order processing contract*. You will then receive a one-time password that the customer must change after the first login. At the moment, your Ditsributor can do this for you.
* Note: If customers are created manually by the reseller, it must be noted that the reseller must accept the GTCs on behalf of the customer by stating that an order processing contract exists with this customer.
Attract customers with website slots
In JOUO, as a reseller you always have 5 websites - so-called slots - at your disposal, which you can add and use for free in JOUO. You can use these slots to present JOUO to potential customers. If a customer is willing to pay for one of these websites, a new slot will be activated for you.

This process will be available soon. In the meantime, your distributor can activate 5 websites of your choice.
Transfer website to customer
Resellers receive a 10% share of all net sales generated by customers of the JOUO portal via an affiliate link. Invoices are issued automatically per customer/organisation.
The affiliate link can be sent to customers and members of an organisation as a link or QR code.
Once a customer has registered on the JOUO portal itself, this user is displayed in the reseller's administration area. If the user referred via an affiliate link purchases one of the paid services offered by JOUO, then all sales made with this user, who is henceforth to be described as a customer, will receive a commission of 10% of the net sales realised. Commission is paid until the customer cancels the product or service. If a customer or user cancels their membership of the portal, the relationship between user, customer and reseller shall also be cancelled.
The reseller is paid automatically at the end of each quarter. At the end of the quarter, the reseller will be shown a statement of successful sales on the JOUO portal.
If the user referred by the reseller is already a JOUO customer, no commission can be paid.
The provision of statistical information on the composition of the recruited users or customers can be provided individually by JOUO.
Resellers receive an individual affiliate link after the conclusion of the contract.

The JOUO demo version
The JOUO Blue was our first JOUO and contains many great features that JOUO (red) does not yet have. Due to these many features, however, it is not as self-explanatory as the new JOUO (red). In the new JOUO, we have tried to create a product that is easy and self-explanatory for SMEs. However, JOUO Blue is still a great software for many functions, which is why JOUO Blue can be used as a demo of which features we theoretically have up our sleeve, but have not yet implemented for JOUO (red).

Same login data
The user accounts are the same for JOUO and JOUO Blue. This means that if you have registered normally via JOUO, you can also register in JOUO Blue with the same login details. This applies to resellers as well as to customers that the reseller has registered manually.
Additional features
Unlike the new JOUO, JOUO Blue is divided into the areas of security, visibility, reach and compliance. It also contains information about the website's metadata, accessibility, loading times and other data from the Lighthouse analysis and Google My Business.
